DEFROST BEFORE COOKING
To Defrost: DO NOT OPEN THE VACUUM-PACK
Defrost overnight in refrigerator or submerge entire vacuum package in cold water until thawed (30-40 minutes or until product is completely defrosted)
Remove from package
Cook Promptly after thawing.
Salmond can be safely prepared and consumed within 24h when moved directly from the freezer to the refrigerator.
Barbecue: Preheat BBQ to med-high heat (approx. 425°F/220°C)
Place the salmon and plank directly over the BBQ grill and close the cover for approximately 14-18 minutes, or until the internal core temperature reached 158°F/70°C
TIP: Keep a spray bottle handy in case of flare-ups.
Conventional Oven: Preheat oven to 425°F/220°C
Place salmon and plank onto a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper, then place on the middle rack of the oven.
Bake for 14-18 minutes or until the internal core temperature reached 158°F/70°C
Air Fryer: Preheat air fryer to 375°F/190°C
Place the salmon with the plank on the air fryer rack
Bake for 14-18 minutes or until the internal core temperature reached 158°F/70°C
Oven, Grills, and Air Fryers vary; cooking times may need to be adjusted.
DO NOT OVERCOOK: Salmon is cooked when flesh becomes flakey. Salmon is perfectly cooked when it is still slightly pink in the center of the fillet. Remove salmon immediately from cooking source, as it will continue to cook very briefly after you remove it from the grill. Salmon will easily lift from the plank for service, if desired.
