MUSSELS: Soak mussels in cold water and discard any with broken shells or ones that are open and do not close when tapped. Scrub shells with a brush and remove any beards. Rinse thoroughly.
Steam mussels in a pot with aromatics (garlic, onion) and liquid (wine, broth) over high heat with the lid on for 3-7 minutes until the shells open, discarding any that remain closed, and serve immediately.
SCALLOPS AND GARLIC CREAM SAUCE Stove-top method:
Remove frozen scallops from all packaging and place in an 8" non-stick skillet. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally for 6-8 minutes, or until heated through. Let stand 1 minute before serving.
