454 g (1 lb) salt cod, boned. Comeau Salt Cod Bits are delicious used in fish cakes, fritters and chowders.
Serving suggestions include fritters, chowders, fish cakes, fillings for seafood pot pies and seafood stews. To prepare: Soak 454 g (1 lb) of salt fish in 6 cups of fresh water in the fridge for 24 hours, changing the water 3 times. Parboil the fish in 6 cups of fresh water for 7-10 minutes. Drain.
